Diesel powers the world

In the industrial society of the 1900s, the diesel engine becomes just as important as the steam engine in the previous century. The diesel engine becomes the driving force of all the large ships providing our society with commodities, materials and fuel. It propels ferries, trains, lorries, and construction machinery of all kinds.

The diesel engine plays a large part in the electrification of Denmark and the rest of the world, and it has thus been part of the changes in everyday life for many people. Diesel engines still produces electricity in order to cover the increasing world consumption.
