Burmeister & Wains history, which starts in 1843 with the founding of a forge shop working with all types of smith’s work, is also the history about the industrialisation of Denmark.
Using B&W as a window, we experience the technological and work-related changes, which has taken place throughout the last 2 centuries. It is the development from an own-producing company until today, where the production of diesel engines is mainly through a worldwide network of licensees, placed in some of the most important shipbuilding nations in the Far East.
